Although it's unlikely the 38-year-old will ever step foot on the pitch - bar the possibility of rapturous celebrations at the end - the Jets have secured his back-up services in the wake of Jack Duncan's quad injury.
New Zealand international Glen Moss will keep between the sticks for the Jets as they search for their second A-League Championship, after Duncan suffered a nasty injury in the semi-final against Melbourne City.
Necevski - who has been a back-up keeper for most of his A-League career - will play second fiddle, as he did when Sydney FC won the double with 2009/10, without the keeper playing a single game.
This season he's made 12 appearances for APIA Leichardt in the NSW National Premier League.
